Sustainability of School Business ‘YUVAKRITI'
When sustainability is viewed as being a matter of survival of business . There is a massive scope of change.
As our economics teacher believes that business is like a riding a cycle. It can move on or fell down. As our accountancy teacher taught us going concern principle which means business shall continue for a foreseeable period of time. Yuvakriti has also established with this view point.
Sustainability of business means survival of business today and tomorrow with sufficient profits and resource. Business must earn sufficient profits and resources. Business must earn sufficient profit for its growth survival and expansion.
Our business is sustainable and has positive impact on the environment and our community. The products which we manufacture are mostly gift items, Fashion accessories, Rakhis, Candles, purifying plants, stoles, compost, etc. For manufacturing these products, we use waste paper, recycle paper or buy raw materials for some items in bulk so that the cost per unit decreases and we can attract more customers.
Our business helps in utilizing waste paper in a creative way, thus helping in saving paper, reducing the waste by recycling them I school itself. The air purifying plants we are raising are helping in keeping the air around us clean. By this kind of service we are making students aware importance of these plants and we are also spreading the message that how important it is for us to live in clean and pure environment. We also reduce the composter installed in the schools by firming composed out of it.
We serve the society what they want. We produce products on day to day consumption. YUVAKRITI entrepreneur challenge is helping our students to acquire new skills along with their academics. These are the life skills they are having and can make use of them throughout the life.
The students have learnt to prepare many things during this project. They feel very motivated, confident and self-reliant.
Being economic is very important for the business. Business must produce goods and services and sell at reasonable prices. Our school students participated in number of exhibitions, we participated in maker’s fest at Meerut. Maker’s fest was a platform for us to show our extraordinary talent and craftsmanship. We also showed our products in Ahmadabad. To attract customers we keep on introducing new products and modify the old ones.
Our school business has definite potential to carry on sustainably running business forcomingyears . We have already developed a team of dynamic young entrepreneurs who have the potential to successfully carry forward this business in the coming years.
We reimburse 20% of profit in the business for it’s smooth running. We don’t need any funding from other external sources. The market of our business has grown sustainably and we are developing a strong customer base. This made the selling of our products more easier. Our brand YUVAKRITI has been findingfavours from the buyers. We have been asked by many agencies who attended maker’s fest to impart our skills to them. This will again be an opportunity to increase our profits.
So we will continue riding to strive hard to excel in our business to make our students skill oriented and self-reliant.

PROFITABILITY OF BUSINESS

PROFITABILITY OF BUSINESS
“We have a social responsibility and moral obligation to help others.”
Although, starting a business is not a child’s play but we made it one. Our Yuvakriti team which comprises of our supportive teachers and industrious students bridges the gap between our dreams and the reality. Our objective is to create more employment opportunities for everyone, using eco-friendly techniques and to infuse leadership & entrepreneurial skills in our students. Our team manufactures a plethora of things like key chains, earrings, candles, rakhis, envelopes, tiara bands, wall hangings, air purifier plants etc. We use waste like recycled paper which is recycled in our school, compost is one of our products which we make with vegetable & fruit peels etc. Prices are reasonable to create a large customer base, as we are buying raw materials in bulk.
Under Swachh Bharat, our school has installed Sanitary Napkin Incinerator which was funded by Yuvakriti.
The students of Navjyoti Foundation have participated in a workshop on 25th October. Creative skills were developed and refreshment & transportation expenses were borne by Yuvakriti. Akhil Bhartiya Netrheen Sangh is an organization of blind students who are taught Yoga by our Yoga artist group and all costs relating to transportation and refreshment were incurred by Yuvakriti. As much as around 20% of our profits are kept aside for the upliftment of an organization called “UTSAH”. It is an initiative taken by our school for the disabled students in the school itself. We have decided to utilize our profits optimally. We are planning to donate 30% for providing textbooks to economically weaker sections and 20% is for the reinvestment purpose.
Our team has innovated another product – a pouch made of discarded newspapers, to be launched next year. We are also gearing up to participate in forthcoming Maker’s Fest in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and meerut. We participated in this fest the previous year as well.
