YUVAKRITI TEAM AT TEEJ MELA, DU

The Yuvakriti team of SD Public School, Pitampura also took
part in "Teej Mela" held at Delhi University, organized by "Delhi
University Women Association". This lively event saw the
partaking from various schools and colleges from around the
capital city.
The students of our school whole heartedly joined
the occasion by exhibiting various handcrafted women
accessories, such as earrings, ornaments, jewelries etc.
Rakhees and air purifying plants fashioned and sold by our
school business team were truly cherished by many parents
and teachers, who were attending the occasion.
Our squad also got an opportunity to meet the heads
of some renowned NGO's who encouraged and motivated the
students with their knowledgeable words and experiences.
They also got inspired and showed immense content towards
the steps taken by the schools for developing business sense
and skills among students.

Teej Mela At Delhi University

Members of students council participated in the Teej Mela at Delhi university where they interacted with  many visitors and made them aware about their venture. This helped them in instilling in them a feeling of self confidence . They displayed the eco friendly products like paper quilling key chains, ear rings, gel candles, coconut shell, rakhis, envelopes, handicrafts etc and thus spread the message of peace harmony and togetherness.

Students of the yuvakriti team all prepared to begin their business by selling different items like envelopes, rakhis, ear rings, tiara bands, wall hangings etc  in a stall set up in the school during an inter school meeting on 23rd July 2016.

In a interschool AIPMT meet at the school campus held on 23rd July 2016, Yuvakriti displayed its products for sale. The visitors who were renowned educators from the established schools appreciated the students and their venture.

Post the launch of the business students of yuvakriti began their task of making the students aware about the inputs of the conposters ie bio waste collected from the students after the lunch break. They created awaren essential amongst the students regarding the segregation of the waste and also introduced their business to the school publicly.

Awareness campaign regarding segregation of waste in the school

Market Research by the students

The students of S D P S visited the nearby residential areas, apartments and parks  to carry out the survey.  During the survey, the team members enquired the people about the kind of plants they were having in their homes, how they chose the plants (on the basis of utility or beauty or both), what kind of manure was being used by them, whether they have indoor plants or not.

.                              

                           
This helped the students to assess the current demand of the products from their business.

Students visiting nearby RWA(Residents welfare associations ) and carrying out the survey for the demand and preferences for compost and air purifier plants.

They figures out the existing plants in the neighbouring colonies and estimated the probable demand for the manures that would be produced form our composters. They also spoke to the residents about the business they were working upon.

YUVAKRITI 2016-17


Yuvakriti ( a part of School Enterprise challenge) is a skill development Enterprise of S D Public School, Pitampura, New Delhi, which provides a canvas of opportunities for the youth to manage the waste resources and promote conservation of environment by focussing of 4 R's- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover.





This year too we plan to participate in the challenge as a Business Growth Track which would be an extension of last years project. Young minds in our school have joined hands to get "Green Passport" to healthy and prosperous life
