YUVAKRITI
(YOUNG CREATIVE MINDS)
Yuvakriti, the school enterprise challenge, the name itself emphasizes on youth. Yuvakriti means Young Creative Minds. The name completely satisfies the basic idea of school enterprise challenge. It emerged as an enterprise challenge, teach a man to fish, but now our objective is not only limited to this but now our aim is to make each and every student involved, a self-reliant person. Yuvakriti is a conscientious endeavor of students of S.D. Public School to empower, evolve and excel in acquired skills and extend their help to the underprivileged segment of society. Yuvakriti instills confidence and feeling of self-reliance in differently -abled children by providing a unique platform to them and help them learn and grow with skills and become independent. It is a platform to make students self-reliant, create eco-friendly products and spread the message of peace, harmony and togetherness. Being a part of this school enterprise challenge is a proud feeling for me. We learnt different skills like quilling, paper-mache, recycling, making gel-candles and many more. The sub-departments of the project provide an opportunity to different students to make the best use of their capabilities. Everyone work as a team which helps them built leadership qualities and team management qualities. Every student, who is a part of Yuvakriti, is actually building entrepreneurship. It is not only a challenge but it has now become a part of our school curriculum which helps a student to improve his or her anilities in academics, creativity, business, communication and technology. It is an ultimate step to greater success in one’s life. Last but not the least, each and every member of Yuvakriti is good enough to perform the most difficult tasks with greater confidence, it has helped us to build up self-confidence. Self-confidence is the best of all qualities which can help a student to become a successful person in his or her life. Yuvakriti is a canvas of opportunities for the young inquisitive minds to become self-reliant from an early age.

YUVAKRITI, a skill development enterprise of SDPS, is a partner of school enterprise challenge “Teach a man to fish” a U.K. based organization. As the name suggests ‘YUVA’  means youth or young and people and ‘kriti’ mean creation which  combinedly stands for creating new opportunities for youth and guiding them to craft their future in different fields and in a better manner. There are different units under this enterprise like IT unit, Environment unit, production unit, marketing unit etc. as a member of this enterprise, I work with the IT unit as a typist , I also provide ideas related to promotion of the enterprise on our different social media platforms. Similarly there is a unit that promotes recycling of paper to protect environment and reduce the cutting of trees. Students of SDPS grabbed a grand opportunity to participate in ‘Maker Fest’ at Gujarat, Ahmadabad talking about Maker Fest, it is an informal local event organized by change maker where people gather together and celebrate the contribution  of different innovators who have a good social, environment and economic impact in their local communities . I am sincerely thankful to Yuvakriti for providing me the opportunity to work and think beyond class room teaching and explore my talent and strengths

YUAKRITI-A MOTIVATION
BY TANNU Class X-C

I joined the school in year 2016 and I got the opportunity to become a part of the project Yuvakriti .I was really astonished to know that my school is taking so much pains to teach students in a manner as to prepare them for life. I learnt so many new skills like making attractive , beautiful and new things out of the material that is waste for the others .It gave me immense pleasure to prepare the handicraft items at home for my friends and relatives. Now I don’t have to buy expensive gift items from the market. My money is saved and at the same time I get a lot of appreciation from my friends and acquaintances. It is a very satisfying feeling that my school is helping us so much in making us feel more confident and self-reliant. I can feel anew confidence in my-self. This good feeling can’t be expressed in words.
Thanks to yuvakriti. Thanks to school.

Celebrating international girl child day at SDPS, Pitampura Delhi, India by the team yuvakriti (Skill enterprise challenge)

Yuvakriti is a skill development enterprise of SDPS. It soared greater heights in no time and build confidence among youths. Its fragrance spread in the world, growing seeds of exaltation, ravishment, curiosity, spunk and excellence. The students participate with great exuberance and excitement in this programme. It provides an enormous platform to showcase the unexplored talent in students. When I became a part of Yuvakriti, then I gradually realized that I got the ladder of success. What I need to do is to step the rungs of opportunities. I ardently participated in a number of activities. Since childhood, I expressed my deep interest in Art and Craft work. But here, I am able to amplify my creativeness, craft skills. At first, I was very scared and quite nervous like anything. I came out of my cocoon and protruded into a limitless world. It provided an atmosphere of value learning. In addition to providing technical and skill based knowledge, it aimed at cultivating moral and human values and creating scientific temperament in students. It gave me a voice – a voice of my own. I failed many times but got back again and made my failure, my first attempt. Yuvakriti groomed my linguistic and logical skills. From Yuvakriti, I’ve learnt “follow your passions, your interests, and create a masterpiece that will lead you to lifelong happiness.” To accomplish something, we must work very hard. My extreme dedication, especially in doing what I love, has built my character and that’s what makes me unique - unique from this entire world. The beauty of exploring the world allowed me to gain a bigger perspective on life outside of my own. Yes, I’m a girl, I being a girl realized that I have the power to conquer the world, destroy it and recreate it. I have the power to change and lead the world. I would like to appreciate the efforts of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in this regard. He is trying to bring about a transformational shift in the way our society looks at the girl child and that’s commendable. I’m unstoppable and know how to be a trailblazer. I’m a girl and I’m actually proud to be one. I’m only beginning to leave my mark on the world by writing this article.
Thank you.
